How and when did you get into bike racing? Brian introduced me to mountain bike
racing three years ago.
What would you consider your best strengths as a cyclist? Being a stoker on the
tandem with Brian—pedaling hard and not having to worry about anything else.
What is your most shining moment on a bike? Seeing the look on Hopson’s face when we roll up on the tandem
for a group ride. It’s the ONLY time I have a chance to get back at the guys for what
they routinely do to me on every other ride—punish me.
Most embarrassing moment on a bike? My near-death experience at the end of
the Sugarbottom race this past summer.
When off the bike, what can we often find you doing? Working as a PT, exercising, teaching exercise classes, and spending time
with Brian and friends.
Favorite movies? “Curb Your Enthusiasm” complete
seasons on DVD.
Favorite musical artist? No one
favorite artist. Dance music.
Favorite food (no pasta, please!)? Atlas Bar and Grill (restaurant in Iowa City):
large Atlas mixed greens salad w/ grilled salmon, no croutons, champagne vinaigrette on
the side, and a side of mango chutney. Other favorite food: popcorn.
